Gunnar Bemert was most recently employed as Head of Production for MBC. MBC is the leading Pan Arab Satellite Company broadcasting in the Middle East and operates on a commercial basis. Prior to his employment with MBC, which was effective from 3rd August 1992 until 26th February 1999, Mr. Bemert was employed by the group holding company AGI from 1st October 1986. He has therefore had a long and successful association with the overall group as well as with MBC. In his capacity as Head of Production Mr. Bemert was responsible for a large production department, covering a variety of programmes from features and entertainment to documentaries. He has considerable knowledge and experience not only of the Middle East but also of general production techniques. He possesses a considerable understanding of the necessary management skills to organise a talented and creative work force as well as having a firm foundation personally in all aspects of making television programmes. His skills are therefore truly international and transferable and in his time at MBC he was diligent, conscientious and trustworthy, and in addition to his Head of Department management roles he dealt with many other projects notably within the Middle East involving significant event coverage on a large scale. These include multi camera events on a significant scale where Mr. Bemert was the Executive Producer.
